Chair Yoga (easy level) is a class designed for those that have difficulty doing yoga on the floor. All postures will be with the aid of a chair whether standing and using it for balance or sitting on it. A real workout that combines cardio, strength and flexibility with a safe and controlled intention. A rehabilitative way to regain movement in the body that has been lost over the years. Chairs are provided.
Restorative Yoga (easiest level) incorporates passive poses either by lying or sitting on the floor and deep breathing. Props are used to support the body to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for relaxation. By holding these passive and supported yoga poses for a length of time, tension in the body and mind will be released leading to many benefits such as lowered heart rate and blood pressure, reduction in insomnia and muscle tension, and overall improvement in one’s health.
This type of yoga is accessible for all body types and ages.
Lura McCallum will be leading classes on Saturday, February 4th, 18th and March 4th.
Please reserve for these special classes.
